Pacific Power Selects Silver Spring Networks for Advanced Metering in Northwest U.S.
Smart Grid Platform and Solutions to Enable Pacific Power to Improve Reliability, Increase Operational Efficiencies across Large Service Territory and Help Customers Better Manage Usage and Costs
Portland, OR and Redwood City, CA – May 9, 2016 – Silver Spring Networks, Inc. (NYSE: SSNI) today announced that it has been selected by Pacific Power to provide the platform and solutions for an advanced metering infrastructure for approximately 600,000 homes and businesses across 180 communities in Oregon.Silver Spring will deploy its multi-application Gen5 IPv6 platform to provide two-way communication capabilities for advanced metering that can help Pacific Power better serve its customers, improve grid maintenance and reliability, and offer operational efficiencies.
